Change That Font To change the Default Font used by Outlook Express simply click on TOOLS and then STATIONERY from the menu bar. Here you can set the Default font for both Mail and News. Using this technique, you can make your email more lively and/ or individualistic. Change That Sound It’s simple to change the notification sound you hear when new email arrives. Simply go to CONTROL PANEL and open the SOUNDS applet. From the list of EVENTS, choose NEW MAIL NOTIFICATION. In Sound, you can browse for .wav files, and preview them. When you've found one you like, click OK.

STUPID WINDOWS VISTA BACKUP TIPS
Backup and Restore Center. Files can be lost from your computer in a large number of different ways. Sometimes files are accidentally deleted, and if a virus gets in it may very well wipe one out. A complete hard drive failure is a sure bet that none of your files will be retrieved. When a hard drive dies an untimely death (and they rarely die a timely one) it's kind of like having your house broken into or burned down. Important personal items are usually gone forever - family photos, significant or legal documents, downloaded music, and more.

STUPID WIRELESS TRICKS
The term “wireless” can refer to so many things when referencing computers and computer
product. Today’s lesson is only on the type of wireless that you might typically have in your home or office. Your Internet access still comes into the building via a physical piece of cable, be it Cable, ADSL, Radio, or Satellite (this will not work with Dial-Up Internet). Once the Internet is into the home, here is where you take over and make the Internet WIRELESS throughout your home. The IEEE standard for this type of wireless is known as 802.11.

ADDING RAM TO A LAPTOP
My computer is SLOW! Recently I’ve had a few people complain that their “brand new” laptop is running slow. (I was one of those people complaining). Upon inspection of their computer it was found that they were running a relatively small amount of RAM memory. To check how much RAM is installed on your computer; Right-Click on MY COMPUTER and choose PROPERTIES. There at the bottom of the General page it will tell you how much RAM your computer has.
